Problem: every fucking thing
well i dont wana pay 1500 for tech2's kit. I dont wana to pay 1200 for TDF (turbo dave /mainstream) mounts. All that is needed is to machine the oem crossmember to accept the OEM MK3 Supra mounts, Taking off material from the stock cross member and fabbing up a rear tranny cross member. Im located in NOVA, Virginia so the closer the better. i was gonna do a kat but fuck it im half way there with the 2jz setup. that swap cost atleast 8K to do, their is a shop in GA I know that does it for 8K, with a 2JZ engine on a T78 turbo they did something like 10.4 with a basic tune around 600HP pretty impressive
yeah its 8k turn key. drop it off and pick it up. but i am at 4k right now and i have my swap/tranny/twin disc clutch/map2 ecu ems/ meatal headgasket/ arp head studs/ single turbo manifold/ and nice sized turbo. Now all i need is the custom mounts made and install ohhhhh and wireharness will be on its way back also so add another $$450. I have 2 people shops that are willing to do the mounts for me and three altogether that will install it. the place in GA rips people off because they charge 1200 for mounts and tech2 charges 1500 for mounts when all they do is hack the oem cross member and use oem mk3 mounts. so im gonna have a shop do the same, just with poly rubber instead of oem. Unless i can get my hands on some TRD mounts.
sorry, the place in GA has complete custom alum mounts that you can just drop the swap right in and dont even have to touch the oem cross member, you can leave in the car also while doing the swap. But its 100-150 in materials and like maybe 200 in labor. there is also another guy out there no names that will mock up those mounts for me for 600. But now i am at the crucial part of the swap. if any of you can help then let me know. AA motorsports that new shop is gonna help me out some bit, but i drove around yesterday and couldnt find there shiop for shit.
