you don't need a cage until 6.49 per IHRA-right?do you plan to go quicker than that?you could get away with a 4-point rollbar,maybe add a bolt-in driver door bar that could be easily removed for street driving?i can't see them kicking you out with that unless you're really honking(like deep 6s or so).

nah, I'd be perfectly happy with even a 6.99999999999. I just want to see a six so I can prove to myself that I, and my car, can do it

 

any 6 is extremely fast for any street car.i'd say there's no reason you couldn't get by with just a bolt-in 4-point rollbar.makes the rear seats useless,but doesn't compromise any comfort or space up front.if they really have a problem with not having a door bar,you could make up a removeable door bar with mounting points that are completely hidden when the bar's out.
