I got the battery charged and tested, it was OK. i did notice that when i took off the negative side sidemount, it wasnt on tight at all. definitely not 11 lb/ft. since re-installing the battery i havent had the issue. *yet* ive had a consistent 13.7 V on cold start and 13.4-13.5 while at operating temps.

Sure voltage will be there, but if the terminal was loose, your not going to pass the intended charging current that your alternator is sending.
