JLAB is having open house this Saturday, 4/21.

I have been there about a year now, but I dont get to go into all the restricted pits. It will be cool to get to go underground into the accelerator. The accelerator track is about the size of a race circuit track.
I remember the first time I went into the control room. It was sooo cool, It felt like CIA control room. There is a HUGE ass screen on one side of the room, with accelerator controls and stuff.

 

Been there, done that. Working construction gets you in all those weird places. lol

I will be doing my project in the morning..The coolest project at JLAB...lol...j/k.
My project is in the Free Electron Laser Lab 1 (FEL lab 1) - The LIPSS project.

It was originally called Lipps, but we found out a porn start had that name..lol, so it became LIPSS

 

Anyone here went to the JLAB open house? I presented in the FEL building on Dark Matter experiment. Was anyone there?

It was great. I think alot of people enjoyed hearing about my experiment
