I think most of the folks gettin the tickets lately were ones that chose not to stop at a light when it changes from yellow to red (speeding up instead of slowing down like they should)... not so much blatantly just driving right through a red (like the 2am thing).

In my jeep with the big tires and shitty braking, sometimes on days like today, with the rain, I may have to run the red light, because my Jeep just cant stop that quickly. Same reason why Semi's have to run red lights.

 

Yeah way down by the base at the end in a nieghborhood called Pine Meadows.

 

The people are saying that this sucks are probably the same dumb mother fuckers coming through the intersection 10 seconds after the light turned red.

Sit down at Yoder PLaza and watch. It's not 1 or 2 cars coming through on yellow, its 5 or 6 cars coming through on red.

 

grr.. looks like I'll be setting up a camcorder in my car. I'm guaranteed to get a ticket with how much I am on the road.

 

Only if you're breaking the law. And you drive a domestic, no worries.

 

haha.. I think they make an exception for me. When I was around 19yo, I was followed by a cop while driving a Dodge Dynasty. I ended up having to head towards the city line so that he would leave me alone.

A more recent one was when I was heading north on 17 in Yorktown. I was cruising next to my friend's mach with the cruise control on and in 5th gear. We passed a York county cop and he made a u turn and pulled my friend with the mach over. I kept going but listened over the two way as my friend was accused with drag racing and kept asking where I was. He was given a bogus reckless driving ticket that was later thrown out of court.

There are a few more tickets that I have fought against because they were false but lost because the person with the badge and gun is too perfect to be human.

A lot of cops around here are just too damn crooked. With this new act on trying to give out the most tickets, it just opens the door for those cops to write whatever they want.

A cop has screwed over my life and almost screwed up my future. My lawyer also convinced me to accept the so called 'bargin'. I accepted it just because if I fight and loss, it could affect me getting a job and my entire future which I have been working so hard to secure. I had to opt to screw over my driving record versus taking a gamble with my life. I am so paraniod everyday now. Everytime I see a cop my heart start beating fast, because if I get another ticket, I get the full blown screw over my life instead of the screwing over my driving record. I am on probation for 6 months. 3 months left. I wish I could ride my bicycle to Newport news instead of having to drive, because that would be one less possibility for my life being screwed over. Everytime I see a cop on the road, its like seeing a burgular lurking outside. you dont know if he is going to pick you or someone else. My truth will NEVER be trusted again, because I had to take this 'deal' that they gave me and screw over my driving record instead of gambling 'my word against a cop's word' with my life.
