Batteries
I have an Interstate battery right now.. and my lights are going from dim to regular brightness, rapidly. I'm looking for something for performance since I am putting something together really soon.
I just had my alternator rebuilt not too long ago, and new belts all around.

I haven't checked it yet. The swing bolt felt-out a while ago and I have to rebuild the alternator anyway so I did and put belts on it. Now the battery light comes on when I start her, even worse when it is cold. My only guess is the battery being run dead when the alternator came loose. When the rain clears up I'll hit you up?

Something light and small (enough room for intake) with enough power to turn over 10:1 compression would work fine. No major system power draws in the Teg.
Odyssey batteries are made using the same technology as Optimas.. Dry Cell (no acid), theyre light and pack a lot of amps. I havent done too much research on them as I hope to, but Ive sold them to a lot of tuners (namely s13 drivers) who use them because the of the size and weight.
I use the same batt (51R) and ive been meaning to replace mine with an Odyssey battery - this one
Last time I measured, its a bit smaller than a 51r so youre going to have to modify the case a bit (or use billett bracket)
i think 51R's have 500cca.. this odyssey battery has 680cca the first 5 seconds. I apologize i cant tell you more through experience, but if youre interested in weight reduction, i suggest reading up on them.
