getfast also showed me a really cool event going on the Sunday of 25th that is a TON of seat time on an open course in a autox format, but its hard to call it a autox. Some previous experience is required, but it gets you "on track" for a fraction of HPDE and would be a great thing for someone to do that has a budget in mind.

Check out that link and read up on it. Sounds like a deal. I've already told Jon that if I cant get my SER ready for the track I'll be bringing the Miata or 325i to this event. Either way, my ass is going to VIR in Feb.
