I have a D17A2 SOHC VTECH with ECU and JCZ-Racing Pistons and highflow headers along with Black Cold Air Intake and Mugen Spark Plug Wires and NGK Spark Plugs and Moded Fuel Rail would like to trade for something faster anyone out their know something better than this i can put in my civic?

You wont get any swap for $1000, you should be able to peice together a turbo kit for $1000, but I wouldnt trust it one bit...Just put a small spray on your car.

Okay. Considering I also own a 2001 EX, let me help you here ...

First off, there are no ECUs out for the D17, unless you're running a standalone, like an AEM EMS. That's easily $1000 right there. Secondly, the engine is direct ignition, which means that you don't have any spark plug wires, let alone Mugen ones. What did you do to modify your fuel rail? I'd have to see pictures of this. As for the JCZ Racing Pistons, I've never heard of that company. There's noone really building anything for the D17, since it's ULEV and it's a bitch to get any power out of it.

Now, you're looking for a motor swap. Well, the only thing that'll really go in the car is a K20. HASport has built mounts for the swap. You're looking at $5k, just for the motor/trans/ECU alone. Plus all the other misc parts you'll need. I'll bet you're up towards $8k for the swap.

I'd just go ahead and get a turbo and call it a day. That way, if you blow your motor, it's only ~$1k to replace it.
