Damn. This is getting out of hand. I really cant believe I wasted so much time reading that. In my opinion you might as well mark it off as a loss. It seems like you are stressing yourself out over all this more than you should, youre going to get an ulcer. I understand that you did work for the guy and he legitimately owes you money but for some reason can never come up with it. If this is all true then he has shown alot about his character and maybe no-one should do any dealing with him. At the same time it is amazing that anyone would take someones word or a handshake anymore and trust someone. I pay my debts and take care of my responsibilities but I dont take an I Owe You from anyone, period. That shows a bad character flaw in yourself and then by posting this thread, not to warn people but vent your frustrations about getting rolled for a couple hundred bucks. I am sorry for your loss but at the beginning you said you were a 'nice' guy, why the hell do we have to continue to hear all this crap. But I do agree, we are only getting one side of the story and at least the guy could talk to you or respond to the post so maybe he could save his character on the site because it is obviously trashed. And we all know he has probably read every post in here and is laughing at the childishness. All I am getting at is that there are so many threats in the post, stop talking and start taking some action, if he ripped you off, screw his ass. If he wont keep in touch, take care of business. This post is rediculous. How old are we today?

 

Cole still owes me an engine promised to me and 4 wheels that I let him borrow months ago that he refuses to return. This is not a rare character flaw for Cole...this is a pattern. One which many of us can attest to. I hope Matt will at least get what is owed to him. I have accepted that I will not. Beware of doing any business with Cole Slayton.

 

He just started his new job, maybe he will redeem himself and fix the situation.
