So I just got out to Norfolk and don't know anything about the area...
Hey all, I'm originally from San Diego. I knew where all the tracks were out there and where to go if I wanted to talk shop with some car buddies. Now I'm out here, and I don't know where a single track is and don't know who to talk to about my wacky ideas.
Anyhow anyone know of a drag strip local to here? Or maybe a road course? I heard Langley wasn't too far but I can't seem to find info on it.
Oh yeah, I drive a 1997 Plymouth Neon. Its bone stock and slow, but I love it, and it doesn't mean I don't know about cars.

Welcome. Thanks for typing coherently, as for meets, try Jenro's on saturday afternoons at the intersection of haygood and independance. A lot of your bigger brothers (srt-4) are diehards and are out there every time. Even in the cold.
Langley is a paved circle track. They have an Extreme Wednessday event part of the year open to any street legal car. www.langley-speedway.com
Theres not really any 1/4 mile tracks directly in this area. Theres Richmond Dragway up in Richmond, VA. VMP in Dinwiddie, VA. MIR near Mechanicsville, Maryland.
And then theres a road course, Virginia International Racway in Alton, VA.

Sweet deal. Maybe I'll check it out this weekend. If its good then there is another guy who just moved here as well with a BMW M coupe who might like to come hang out too.
As for the big brother thing, I still think of the SRT as the little brother since the first gen crouds enthusiasm for road racing and auto x is what inspired PVO to do their magic on that car. Big brothers aren't always stronger :P.

VIR is only 3 hrs away I thought.
There are some good auto-x's at little creek from time to time with SCCA and TSCC.

VIR is 5-6 hours away. It is one of the best road courses on the east coast, and is the love of my life. EF drag racing.
