Ranger did not run the stock tires that day, but he is usually only about 0.2 slower on the stock tires. The stock torque management really prevent the C6Z06 from launching hard on sticky tires. I could see him getting a 10.99 in similar conditions on stock tires.

I am still very impressed that a stock car can run those times with nothing more than a cheap pair of drag radials. Give credit where credit is due. Impressive since GM claims 11.5 with Goodyear run-craps.
