Does anyone know of any turbo kit or supercharger kit for a 2000 Mercury Cougar v6? ive searched everywhere and cant find anything!!!!!!! i really want to buy this cougar, its only got 17,000 miles and its a 5 speed, ive been doing research but cant find any aspirater. If u know anything let me know!!! Engine is Duratec.

 

Vortech makes a supercharger for the 2.5, but you're going to have to find a used one. Also, there was a company called Arizona Dyno (ADC) that recently went under, but there are a few kits running around out there. Check the contour.org or cougar forums for info on FI in the 2.5. Quite a few of them out there. Also, many people have upgraded the motor to the 3.0 duratec for a more reliable motor with a lot more torque.

 

hey man u should just find a better car cus i wirk on duratecs all the time and the r a horrible motor most likely ull blow a head gasket cus i just had one not to long ago come to my shop with a blown head gasket but good luck with it man

i work on cars all day long and i do it the same as i type non stop and without any attention to detail or what i'm actually doing good luck with your duratec i wonder why that one i worked on blew up after i worked on it apparently fords suck because its definately not my mechanics skills or the education i got

Buy a 1988 Cougar. You could get a V8 and it will be rear wheel drive. Then turbo THAT.
