poormans type r
i am building a poor mans type r. ive got a darton sleeved gsr block bored to 84.5 and i just got it back from abacus today. i bought 84.5 weisco pistons with a compression of 8:5:1. the rings have already been filed to fit my sleeves but i just had a recent change in mind and i want to do a all-motor set-up. i am putting a 2000 b16a2 head on it and im not sure if i should stay with the turbo set-up or go all-motor. i want to have a reliable car that is quick but my friend who swapped my b16 into my hatch said that if i boosted it would more then likely be un-reliable and that i might start to break things and he also said that if i got some high compression pistons id be very happy with the all-motor set-up.. i need a little bit of advice on whether to run the turbo set-up or all-motor...

You might want to call a shop. I ran b16 head studs in mine. But a word of advice on the build, Sence you have already spent money on the bottom end, put better valve train in the head. You have built the block to handle some revs but the head won't handle anything past 8500 safely. I dropped 4 valves. You don't want that to happen.
shit. i got a 95 b16a head i bought a couple months ago for a rebuild and im pretty sure it has ARP head studs. is there any way i can tell if the head studs are ARP or not? because the whole head is disassembled and i got the just challen in the garage.oh and its for sale. check my thread.

I say go with the B18 studs but, they should be the same as the b16
