I agree with you all but FCPD does do a good job from my stand point im from new york to me this is like ohio to me. gang volience can be a lot worse. My 3 years of living here I have seen a huge difference in things, my biggest is all the migrants. Every morning I go to the 7 eleven on rolling road and it's like what the fuck. they stand infront the dam door and look at you like your stupid for wanting to get through the door. I'm from southern California. I moved here 6 years ago for a tech job so you can blame me for some of the deforestation and high cost of living.

In the "short" time I’ve been here I’m already seeing the same sings of decline that I lived through in California.

You locals have no idea what a bad gang problem is like.
You locals have no idea what a bad illegal immigration problem can do to a community.

We WAN'T English speaking PhD’s and people with master's degrees from India, etc, in this country. We NEED skilled nurses from the Philippines to move here. -Check cashing stores are a front for illegals. If your community starts to build check cashing stores you have a serious problem.
-Day laborer "Centers" attached to Home Depot and Lowes.
-Public education will start to cancel gifted and talented programs, music, arts, and sports to pay for rising ESL costs and state sponsored free lunch and immunization programs.
-Car insurance will go up do to the number of uninsured illegal
-Your mcmansion's will take a big hit in value when 4-5 families move into a 3 bedroom home after converting the garage.
-You will no longer be able to enjoy your local parks because they will be overrun by illegals who go there to escape their already cramped homes and lack of air conditioning.
-The ghetto bird is a real thing. Fairfax County will buy and fly their helicopter(s) EVERY night over your hood.

In my last few years in public school my report cards and school announcements came home in Spanish, and English was on the back.

p.s. I didn’t really address crime in that last post. So let me share my experience with illegal immigrants, crime, and gangs.

Gang’s are rooted in poverty.

Picture an illegal immigrant family who had it tough as shit in Mexico crosses the border in search of a better life. The parents work their ass off, hard labor. They have kids who are born here, go to school here, learn English here.

But those kids don’t know how shitty their parents had it, they look around at the other kids who seem to have it all. They see their parents getting treated like shit and looked down upon because they don’t know English etc. The kids feel poor, they feel envious… which breeds jealousy, lack of respect, gangs, violence.

It’s not the first generation of illegal immigrants. It’s their kid’s you have to worry about.

 

And while i'm in the bitching mood. This area has a cop problem. TOO MANY cop's who are working towards revenue genteration to sustain themselves. We don't have enough real crime to justify the headcount here.

What you guys (car enthusiats don't see) is the other side of the coin. This areas is packed tight with moderate-liberal-consevative government contractos with a median household income of 105k a year. They have their nice single family homes that have skyrocketed in value. So they are running around here thinking they have accomplished something because they are sitting on a decent chuck of equity.

The people in this group ARE very concerened with their property value (while trying not to appear racist,)... So for policticians it's an easy sale "If you elect me I will vote for MORE police to protect your family and reduce crime"

While golly gee, paul, we want to protect little susy from crime, we need more police! So more police it is. But there is a problem, Cop's, teachers, etc.. they really can't afford to live here. Maybe if they buy some junker hud home in a bad hood but they dont want to do that. So you have an excess of law enforcement complaining about the cost of living (which is high here) who need a way to bring in more money.

So what do you get? a 25 dollar fix-it-ticket for no front plance and a 53 dollar "proccessing" fee.

Good thing little susy is safe though.

 

Oh, and another thing..

This is for all you country bumkin mother fuckers who have lived here all your lives and have never had to deal with traffic congestion!

A.) Creep into the middle of the intersecion, wait for the light to turn Yellow, then Red, then complete your turn.

or

B.) Stay behind the line and ONLY enter the intersection until it's safe to clear it while the light is still green.

also on the illegal alien thing, there is more el-salvadorians in the Nova Dc area than anywhere else in the world, besides el salvador. Work for the summer as a laborer, and go home for the rest of the year.
