where are the best placees to get a new windshield for my scoobie?
im not using insurance and my windshield is heated

 

Definitely not Clover Glass. GD that place is expensive!

 

my brother is having the same problem, don't know how it cracked tho. if we find some place cheap, i'll let ya know

 

there is a cheap shop across from CAP that ive used a couple times. they did a good job and it was under 200 bucks installed.

 

a friend who has the heated windshield recently had her's replaced,.. took about 4 days to get one in, and it cost - (with insurance and deductable together) about $500. sorry

 

Curious as to why you are not using insurance? Places like Binswanger claim they help pay your deductible. Since it's not a collision-type accident, shouldn't raise your rates if that is your concern.

 

Go to my Uncle's mobile glass shop, Smiley's Auto Glass over on Forest Hill Ave. They'll even come to you.

 

the place across from cap is capital autoglass they do tint also cheap but look over their work they bs sometimes

 

if you have comprehinsive glass coverage you can replace your glass as often as needed and it will not raise your premium. but if you have a high deductable then you are out of luck. clover glass IS the best glass shop in central. they use the best adhesives tools and have the most skilled two man crew in central. the other crap glass shops send out one guy to set your glass and that lowers qualinty greatly. glover glass also is the only glass shop trusted by Pence Subaru so they do many subaru glasses every week and can get your glass very quickly.

do not go to smileys i have seen some very very poor installs from them.

I need a new windshield now too...i was working on the car yesterday and a pair of needle nose pliers slipped and jabbed the windshield...nice long crack now
