Re: What broke on your car today?

You were right. I just replaced the ball joints a few months back and I just now got around to doing a proper alignment (was right before, but the steering wheel was WAAAYYY off.) It actually...

Re: Any KA9 owners?

People do that in basically every type of car. There's so many different models it's easier to sort the year models that had the same chassis code. Helps to narrow down compatible body panels,...

Re: my latest video got me thinking... 2015 focus ST or Ecboost Mustang?

After seeing the VIR testing videos, the Focus RS is going to be the car to beat in it's price range for a new car. That thing fucking moves. I couldn't justify buying the Focus ST or any other car...

Re: What broke on your car today?

What year model Ford? I'm a Ford guy and if it's a 1987-mid 90s and the fuel gauge isn't working it probably needs a fuel pump.

Re: What broke on your car today?

Something in the front end of my civic came loose. I'm hoping it's just sway bar bushings. A slight bump and my steering is all over the place then it tightens back up. Meh, that's what 309k miles...

Re: Dope status version 5.0

Those things are a pain in the ass to get street legal. They don't even provide you with the paperwork to do so when you buy it.

Re: Dope status version 5.0

But it's a KTM... have fun with all that reliability. That and it has about half the power of the Duc.

Re: Considering a budget dedicated track car, need a sounding board

I'm an inch taller than you and the Hard Dog bolt in I had installed never bothered me. Then again I still had the soft top.

Re: Considering a budget dedicated track car, need a sounding board

Biggest thing you need to look for on any used car that's already had anything done to it is the rules at the track you plan on running in. You don't want to be a noob out there trying to run with...

Re: Considering a budget dedicated track car, need a sounding board

Building a Miata may seem expensive at first, but the things are stupid reliable. "50/50" weight distribution, and easy to squeeze reliable power out of. I mean, if you're looking for a cheap, fun,...

Re: Considering a budget dedicated track car, need a sounding board

Actually they aren't street legal. Well, they are, but the company that builds them doesn't give you all the stuff you need to get tags. From what my cousin says, it's a major pain in the ass to...

Re: Considering a budget dedicated track car, need a sounding board

Re: Considering a budget dedicated track car, need a sounding board

Attend a track day that allows testing or something of the sort. I'm sure some grassroots guy out there will let you drive his. You'll be sold on the idea

Re: Considering a budget dedicated track car, need a sounding board

Miata is about the only logical choice for a budget RWD track car. Nothing wrong with the E30 or the 240sx, but they still don't have the balance and feel of a miata. Even a stock Miata is...

Re: 1996 3000gt build suggestions?

Swapping a higher model car's engine into a base model car never pays off, period. As stated, either save up for a true VR4 or switch platforms. Mitsu's are a sketchy base to build around to start...
