Re: Lost dog in Granding/Raleigh Court (Roanoke) area

Just wanted to say thank you. Someone who saw this post saw the dog and called the owner. Didn't say who it was, but Lucy is back home and doing well. Thanks to whoever it was!

I know this isn't exactly what this board is meant for, but I know a lot of you live in the area, so hope the mods will allow this.

A good friend lost her dog on May 11 in the Grandin/Raleigh...

Re: Western Off Topic

We used to print the brochures for them and there was stuff in there about judging. I guess this was 5-6 years ago. My car was in it for about 4 years straight from 2002 to 2006 I think. Right around...

Re: Western Off Topic

When the MDA show first started, it was just a show, not a competition. There were no awards. You paid your money, parked your nice car next to someone else's nice car, and the money went to the MDA....

Re: Western Off Topic

And, considering they wouldn't investigate my car when it was broken into and vandalized (they said they could take a report over the phone for my insurance, but refused to send anyone out), I doubt...

Re: Western Off Topic

At the time I was desperate. I needed my car. They wouldn't give me my car without me paying. I should have disputed it, gotten lawyers/police/whatever involved, but my son was due to be born any day...

Re: Western Off Topic

Anywhere would be better. Berglund are nothing but crooks. I have several horror stories about them, but the latest involves them replacing an O2 sensor in my Jeep under warranty. I should have known...

Re: Best place for a.... (Roanoke Area)

Try Advanced Metal Finishing downtown. I don't know if they do it, but they do a lot of other metal finishing things, so if they can't, at least maybe they can point you in the right direction.

Re: Western Off Topic

I hate when people rush through and don't use enough lube.

I've noticed it does cause scratches and tears.

Re: Anyone have a Nissan Xterra?

Well, I actually was looking at the Frontier at first. I hadn't even considered an Xterra but was talking to the salesman and he suggested I look at one. They are actually pretty much the same price,...

Re: Anyone have a Nissan Xterra?

We're buying something new, not used. Been burned by too many used cars in the past.

The main thing I like about the Xterra is the utliltrack system in the back. I have a truck now that I'm...

Re: Anyone have a Nissan Xterra?

I don't know about the older ones. We test drove a new one over the weekend and my daughter (who is 5'3 and maybe 120 lbs) could just barely sit comfortably in the back seat with the driver's seat...

Re: Body Shop & Paint Recommendations

Wooding's would still be my first choice.

Cuz's just repainted my mom's Jeep after someone ran into the back of her, and they did a great job. I've never used them personally though.
