Type r Tranny 450 obo
I have a type r tranny i beleive it was out of a 96(not the 4.7 final) It does have Lsd , but has no reverse. Reverse acts as if it is completely blocked out.
My friend bought it from big al in stafford(drove/drives a red and green eg partial sponsored from inline pro) For $900 a year ago, and they had to swap the casing from a b16 onto the type r tranny. (type r casing was cracked)All gears at the time were inspected and made sure there was no internal damage. Tranny is very short geared , and on the highway at about 80mph his b16 was reving at about 5k rpm. I am asking 450 obo. Taking trades plus cash or all trades or all cash. Would get pictures but finances digi won't turn on.

S80 (Helical LSD)
This transmission is one of the best B-series transmissions Honda has offered in its
vehicles. Every gear has dual synchro's and the gearing is perfect for all motor
applications. Plus, LSD is standard and will be stamped on the housing. Look to spend
between 1200-1400 for these transmissions because of their quality, LSD, age and gear
ratio's. Finally, if there is some question about whether or not you're S80 has 4.4 final
drive or 4.7 final drive you can check the transmission housing. The code "4jhd" means
4.4 final drive was offered as original equipment, while "ne3" signifies 4.78 final drive. Copied this from http://www.jdmcars.com/tech/admin/bseries_tranny.pdf

Re: Type r Tranny 450 obo
so then you have a b16 tranny with a type-r lsd, considering you can't put the 4.785 fd in a B16 trans then i wouldn't think the 96-97 spec itr gears would work as well. You have the 4.40 which is the FD for a US spec GSR, B16, and US type-r
