why would anyone put a b16 block on a b18 head????????you loose power and torque and its just plain ghetto!

actually you would gain power seeing that the gsr head would raise the compression ratio. i am assembling a similar set up rightt now. gl on the sale!!!

a b18 head on a b16 block would lower compression man....its a simple concept, smaller head on big block raises compression and reverse. A b16 block with a b18 head would be good for a turbo setup if your building that motor for high compression i really hope your not the one doing the build.

the combustion chambers are different on the gsr and b16 heads. Take for instance my b20vtec... If you use a b16 head the compression would be a lower value as compared to a gsr head(which im using). Not exactly sure about the b16 block and gsr head combo. But i do know the gsr head will end up with a higher compression number than the b16 head. EDIT...I just put it in a compression calculator and it shows the gsr head was 10.6 to 1, and with the Stock b16 head it was 10.4 to 1. Sooo the GSR gead will give you the higher compression ratio.
