Preference really, if you wear the gun every day and don't fire it, it is still a good idea to clean it weekly because of lint/debris you come in contact with everday.

Its spelled Taurus... The 24/7 Pro .45 is a good gun, 2005 NRA gun of the year....BUT they had alot of problems with the older ones.. I own one, But this is my second one. The first one would not chamber a round at all, And the Mag got stuck. If you google this gun you will see it has a whole lot of bad reviews and a bunch of good reviews. Just make sure check everything with it before buying. They also had a bad batch of mags. Im happy with my gun 700 rounds through it flawlessly, But im not happy with my experence with Taurus. Also its 12+1 in the chamber. So its a 12 round mag not 13. Goodluck with sale.
