Description: This gun was brought back by a WWII vet from Japan. It has all the original stock and bolt serial number match gun numbers. It has several Kill Notches that the japanese scared into the side of the gun when they would kill someone. There is a lot of History behind these guns and it would be a really cool piece to own!

That may be the original stock, but that’s not it’s original configuration. All Arisaka Type 99s had a full length wood stock like most military rifles of the day.
At some point it became popular to “sporterized” these guns by cutting away the front portion of the stock.
What makes you think this was a sniper rifle?
The Type 99 was issued as a sniper rifle, only something like 10,000 were ever produced. They all had scopes from the factory either 2.5x or 4x.

Reloaded is correct. That rifle is also missing its bolt shield and the Imperial Chrysanthemum on its receiver.

looks like a Jinsen Arsenal 99 made in korea at the end of the war.. back the the bolt looks like a arisaka but i think the jinsen had that too a few arsenals made the "type 99" could be any of them without really knowing what to look for. im just going by the stock
