After the Mod & Firmware were installed, it adds a "Hack" tab:




I personally soldered the PINs & used a USBjTag to mod the SB4100.


With it Modified/Hacked, you unlock these features on the modem:

Easy navigation & setup, everything is accessed like a normal modem, via http://192.168.100.1/

This picture is the average speed when NOT bridging connections & running a single one... Its faster than Verizon Fios.. The upload is decent also!

Sounds like they are a bunch of dumb a$$e$. I know other providers run and MD5 check on the modems running config and compare it against the ones on their TFTP server.. Bump

See with the hacked modem you can upload its configs and firmware thus you can force it to connect, lol. Comcast is the only one that it works for as in straight 100% plug & play.. The rest require MAC accys :P
