Congrats (on the career not failed proposoal).
FYI, Smith & Wesson has outstanding police pricing. You can get a full size M&P9 w/ three mags for $420 out the door. Just have to find a local dealer that participates or pay a transfer fee and have one mailed. Glock does the same and pricing is similar. I would suggest get a compact version of whatever your duty gun will be.
