When i say there are rare, that's an understatement. I lucked out because the guy who had them was a Suzuki dealer in South America and brought these into the US when he retired and moved here, wayyy back before all the vehicle import laws. I'm catching a lot of grief from suzuki nuts because I'm building one, but I have another to restore and make a garage queen. They are both from down in NC about 4 hours away. Now i just need to find a few parts.... 6 bolt 4g63T, 86-88 toyota turbo 5 speed trans and tcase, and a toyota front axle. Duane got any DSMs sitting around ?? haha

I like them. I imagine you are catching grief from the suzuki nuts. Is the platform pretty much the same as the samurai or is it completely different?

Same basic frame. Stock samurai is 80 and this one is 93ish on the wheelbase. The spring mounts are also narrower front and rear by 2 inches on each side. In the rear im going to leave them where they are at and just adjust the perches on the axle, on the front I will have to outboard the front spring mounts. I cant move the yota perches inward anymore on the front or the spring would end up being on top of the diff.

Speaking of yota axles, I just picked up an 85 Front end hub to hub and a IFS yota rear axle drum to drum.

Now it needs to stop raining.

The question is should i leave the rear frame and bed at the length its at like this.....

Or should I bob the bed and frame and make it flush with the rear spring hanger like this.....
