The 22 series engine is bulletproof... used to have an '86 pickup that I ran into the ground. 400something thousand miles with only having to replace the head gasket twice and I wrecked it, motor was still running strong

yea a buddy of mine put 650k on his old 85 and it spent the last 340k miles off the road. they are bulletproof and after this thing is done it will last forever!

Cool deal.... my old beater truck was an '87 Yota w/ a carb'd 22R in it. It developed a head gasket leak and I replaced it with the help of a buddy. It was my first time going into an engine and I learned alot

This one is a mere infant with only 280K on it. It does currently have a Jasper reman in it now. I'm guessing this will be its third engine. I only put about 6000 miles on it in the last 2 years, so yeah it will last for ever after this.
