Default Oil Guage

I recently put some water in my Ford Bronco because the temp was goin up andnow that is all taken care of. But since I put the water in there the oil guage keeps goin from normal to empty and back to normal. Its only in the morning tho. When I get off work it does not do it just when it warms up. Im not to mechanicaly inclined but I know that I did put it in the right spot. Does anyone know what is goin on? Please help.

Thanks in advance yall.

Oh I did check my oil to and its in the normal section. So I know that Im goood on oil.

Are you talking about oil pressure? If so you shouldn't loose oil pressure.

You should hook up a mechanical gauge to see if the one in your dash is reading right. If it is you have a serious problem, loosing oil pressure is a good way to seize your engine. Check the trouble code for your check engine light and see what that is. I don't know if your car will throw a code for loss of oil pressure, it usually has its own light. If you really are loosing oil pressure get it fixed or you will be walking soon.

hey post that questions up on fullsizebronco.com and see what they come up with for ya. First thing they will say is forget the dummy gauge and get real one.

Mine would do the same wishy/washy thing from time to time but never the check engine light. Possible crap in oil pick up or dirty oil that untill its run and warmed up is causing the oil pump to have issues.....
