whats up, my name is jason. Im new to the 4x4 scene. I picked up a 83 nissan 4x4 truck for $500, and im lookin for a little bit of lift. the truck has independant front suspension with torsion bars and leafs in the back. Anyone know a site that sells a kit for this truck. its the 1983 not the 1983.5(?) hardbody style frontend. thanks for the help.

Not too many companys make lifts for nissans, if you are looking to do more than just a body lift on it you are gonna be spending some serious money, and that is witout rims and tires. If you want to go bigger than 31' tires I would suggest selling your truck and buying one that is already lifted, I know a guy selling a lifted nissan for 1500 that has 9in of lift with 33's and could easily fit 35's the truck has no interior and what not, so it's i perfect beater offroad machine. But if you are looking at just 31's get a 3in body lift and trim your fenders some, but doing that you are still looking at spending at least 200 for the lift, and another 400 or so for some tires. By then your whole rig is costing you $1100 and you might as well throw in another 400 and get somthing with some size and brand new 33's. Look on e-bay for lifts tho sometimes there are good deals.
