I was reading a thread about spots to 4wheel in VA. So I thought I would make one up of the local spot I always go to. Its about 20 mins west on rt.33 past Harrisonburg, VA at a place called Rawley Springs, VA. There are many trails including, Dry Run, Second Mountain, Switzer Damn, and the Salt Shed.
I am just posting websites I have found of personal adventures and pics people have encountered and videos I have found. Enjoy and if anyone would like to make a date to all get together up there I am down. I am actually going saturday and usually go anytime I get a free chance. We take a lot of camping trips during the summer up there. Enjoy.

Here is a video that a guy did going through the devil's bathtub. Not sure when this was done, but this hole now is dug out even more and the water line is up to the top of the bowl. Friend with a jeep sitting on 4in lift and 35's use to be able to go through it but as of right now hits his rear bumper entering in and sinks down and just sits there.

We will be planning another camping trip out there in the spring/summer of this year. You'll get another chance.

Me and another buddy went out there on Sunday. The trail ride didn't last long though . First 2mins on the trail we run into a group that told us his buddy was stuck in a hole. We follow them out to where this stock cherokee is up half way up the doors in a deep mud hole. So we circle around him to get a good pulling angle and I start to hear a screeching sound from my TJ. Get out and busted a shock somehow coming up the trail. So needless to say I was done for the day. My buddy ended up pulling the cherokee out and then to add insult to injury, after the stock cherokee was out of the way, my buddy took his TJ through their in two wheel drive with no problem I had more fun watching these guys waiste deep in a mud hole trying to hook up the tow line.
Right before we leave we watch a stock 4runner haul ass through the hole and then his buddy in a stock TJ 4cyc. tried to go through and ended up boggin down the motor and getting stuck. Then dude try starting the jeep back up while the exhaust was underneath water. He ended up sitting on the trail after they pulled him out waiting for everything to dry out. Overall good times.
