Default different front/rear tires on 4wd??

i know on 2wd vehicles you can run larger tires on the rear than on the front,

i know you cannot have different diameters on AWD

but, what about 4wd? can you run bigger tires on the rear? i rarely use 4wd; every few months on the beach or if the weather is snowy or icy...

your thoughts?

thanks,

you can if you dont put it in 4wd at all, but if you do put it in 4wd your gona bind up your transfer case, unless you were to put say 33s in the rear with 4:56 gears then put 31s in the front with 4:10 gears youd probably be alright that way

actually you can as long as youre in mud or sand to allow the wheels to spin at different rates....... however, its not recommend.

lol sweet.

i got some general grabber at2s pretty cheap figured i wouldn't want to go with anything too fancy. figure i'll wait and see if i get some money to lift it a little and get some new/wider wheels and maybe run some 33s

we'll see though. right now since it gets driven so much there is no real point in lifting it.
