Default Classic or Sport?

I have been looking at Jeeps for awhile can't decide on a Sport or Classic. I was just wondering if anyone could give me their opinions on these two jeeps. Any other opinions on other Jeeps that are better than these two would be great. I am looking for a good Off-road vechile.

i just bought a 97 Cherokee sport recently. I am pretty happy with it so far. I really haven't gone off road besides the sand briefly. It did well though. Parts are sooooo cheap. Mine has just a 3in. lift, and bigger tires. I was pricing a new suspension, and found i can lift this 5 inches for around 400 I had a ranger before, and it cost me almost 600 to lift it 3 inches

if you get one, may i suggest this site for parts:

the only difference between the 2 is the classic has matching trim and bumpers (instead of black, they use the same paint as the jeep itself), and the classic has adjustable headrests where the sport does not.

exactly, and there are some other things to look for, some came with crystler rear ends and the majority came with dana 35s.the crystler is the better of the two.anyway you go you cant beat a jeep.i own 3 and work in a shop that builds jeeps for offroad purposes.if your going 11in long arm rockcrawling monster or 3in add a leaf daily we do it all so if you have any q's feel free to pm me i will be glad to help...good luck on your purchase.you wont be disapointed

Either one is fine, Its all the same beast, Im pretty happy with my XJ so far, Check out cherokeeforum.com or naxja.org. Anything more then a 4 inch lift gets expensive (ie. track bar, SYE, etc)
