Carb to TBI (throttle body injection)

just wondering if anyone has done this before because im sick of my carb dying on me on steep inclines and the tbi seems like the easiest form of fuel injection to switch to if any one has any suggestions let me know

holly makes the truck avenger carb, its made for steep inclines and such, as far as carb to TBI you'll need a computer harnes tbody and some gaskets, you might need a new mani but im not sure i do know that the stock TBI mani wont fit your motor i already tryed the intake ports stick up about 1/4 in. good luck and if you need any parts i might have a few you need.

Throttle body fuel injection sucks. Aka (TBI) i suggest sticking with yer carb for tuning purposes. imo

ive got a tbi system in my blazer. if you can find a way to get it out. its all yours for 50 bucks. its a 81 blazer with a 87-95 style motor Tbi and all that bull shit. trust me stick with a carb thats what im going back too.

i have heard that a tbi system isn't worth a crap from many people if ur worried about ur carb drying out at steep angles then get a holley truck avenger its meant for extreme angles my buddy has one and it works great

Wet manifold systems, for example TBI, Carb, etc all suck. Your fuel tends to pool in the manifold.
CPI sucks too since it use fuel pressure to open the poppet nozzles. So all the nozzles basically open at the same time.

The only real advantage of TBI over carburaters is improved fuel metering.

But most of all you dont know exactly how much fuel is getting into each cylinder.

Port Fuel Injection is the absolute best way to go.
