SNOW STORM 2/19!
Bored at work + caffeine + New AWD Car = GETTING EXCITED ABOUT SNOW STORM
http://www.weather.com/outlook/weath...end_2012-02-14
Let's begin first with our latest forecast. Then, we'll jump into a little "Met 101" on why we're yet again looking at a "near miss" for the East Coast in what has been "Winter Gone Mild".
Saturday night:
Rain mixes with or changes to wet snow late Saturday night in parts of Missouri, Arkansas, western Tennessee into the Ohio Valley.
Rain in the Carolinas, southern Virginia, eastern Kentucky, eastern Tennessee.
Sunday (national weather map):
Rain changes to snow from west to east in the Appalachians and parts of the Mid-Atlantic States from eastern Kentucky to W. Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, southern Pennsylvania, far northern N. Carolina and the Delmarva Peninsula. Snow will move off the coasts of N. Carolina, Virginia and the Delmarva Peninsula Sunday night/early Monday morning.
Heaviest total snow accumulations: eastern Kentucky to western Virginia.
I-95 Urban Corridor impact: On the order 1-4" accumulations in /Washington, mainly north and west sides. An inch or two in Baltimore. Less than 1" of slush in Philly. Dry in New York City, Boston & Hartford.
