Shops in Alexandria

Hey all -

I have a 2008 Mini Cooper S hardtop, and a few things are occurring - and I'm looking for recommendations on a shop to go to.

1) Clutch is beginning to slip
2) Slow oil leak
3) Coolant leak

It all happened over the past 90 days .. and I just relocated up here and drive it less than 15 miles a week since I'm so close to the metro .. but I would like to get it fixed within the next month or so .. (Thanks tax return timing) ..

If you could give me any names of shops you've used in the past and had great success with - or have any personal contacts at a shop you'd recommend speaking with .. I'd be most appreciative.

Thank you for any and all assistance you can provide.

-Jon

Take it to mini or you'll regret it.
And be ready to fork over serious cash.

Talk to Dave Rockwell over at Passport MINI of Alexandria. He'll get you straight. If you have to replace the clutch. . .well, it's a hell of a fucking process and aint cheap.

Also, check out http://www.dcmetrominis.org/ there is a lot of info on not dealer places that are pretty good at servicing MINIs.

He bought the wrong generation. Mine has had an oil leak and my clutch is finally going out, overall besides being fucking expensive to maintain its been a decent daily. I'm ready to move on but it was a pleasure to drive for awhile.

Unfortunately, I was ready to fork over some cash .. and yes .. I've been saving up for it. I'm really not overly excited about it. The clutch did last 105XXX so I feel okay about the timing of that .. as far as the oil leak goes .. I've read about it with this generation.

@Tattrat - Thanks for both pieces of advice!
