Motorcycle Riders in NOVA

Hey everyone, I went up to DMV today and took the knowledge exam for my motorcycle license, I passed it fine but unfortunately I am still required to hold my learners permit for 30 days...even though I am pretty confident I could pass the skills test right now.

I just wanted to find out if there are any local riders who go out for rides on the weekend that I could tag along with to get some more road experience, I am new to sport bikes (I rode dirt bikes for a couple years) so I am not looking for any crazy/extreme high speed kind of riding. But if anyone is up for a local cruise or anything so I could get some more experience please PM me or post up and let me know.

Thanks

hope you aren't trying to pass the road test on a 600 or above
sportsbike, because that's just a nightmare. because if you say
you can pass the skills test, but you still need more road time?

dunno, my advice to you if you going in for the road skills test
try to bring in a lower cc bike or a street legal dirt bike to do it.
the low speed turning on a 600 or up bike is pretty hard. along
with all the u-turn tests and crap like that.

Yes I do have a 600...and yes I can pass the test on it, I have practiced it on my bike and have all of it down

And I dont need more street time, I really just want to ride my bike, and I dont know many people that live in the immediate area that have bikes. I would like to get out and ride, and maybe meet some people.

Henderson, near burke lake and foutainhead. On the weekends there are a few bikes goin around there for the turns. Watch out for loose dirt and branches on the road.
