How can I get safety inspection with no engine in car
Well, My car got towed for having an expired safety sticker in the window, at my apartment complex. Anyone know how I can get a safety inspection for a 3,000lb brick on wheels, with no engine or electrical hooked up?

So, you're telling me I have to pay $100+ every so often to get my car back from the tow company because they are just going to keep towing it with an expired sticker. I wish I had a driveway, then it'd be ok (private property), but I don't. And it is possible to get one, but i'm new to the northern virginia area and don't have any contacts yet.

the vehicle must pull itself into the inspection lane, and the power steering must function if it is equipped.

I had a truck that couldnt pass inspection and my apartment complex kept towing it. I finally had to rent a garage from the complex until i moved out of there.

grab a set of out of state tags, scrape the inspection sticker off it, and tell them its your brothers from alabama. and you are driving it, they just dont see you moving it cause you are uber nocturnal.

Ok, thanks for the advice. The out of state plactes would work well, but i don't think i know any where to get some. As for the car cover, thats an idea too, but i think they will just lift up the cover...if they really wanted to check.
I'm just going to put an engine in it this week, and try to get it inspected. in the meantime, i'll try to find a car cover. And some warm clothes, cause i've got to do it outside.
