Help with Jetta auto to manny tranny switch
Anyone in the Maryland area have experience with swapping trannies in german cars? I think I'd like to do one. PM me.

You can`t just swap trans you need a LOT of shit to go from auto to manual.....literally more work than it`s worth IMO. In most cases you`re better off swapping to a whole different car.
Sell the auto, buy a manual. If you had the ability to do it yourself you would have never made this thread.

You can buy manual jetta's blown up and running for $750-1500 ALL DAY! Why the fuck would you spend $3-5k to do a swap that would be a headache?

auto to manual is only worthwhile in a diesel jetta, as you gain 4-5 mpg, and only cost-effective if you drive the wheels off the damn thing.
