Description: 1982 Honda GL500 Silverwing Interstate.
I originally got the bike in early March, started the build a couple months later. The bike had sat since the early months of the year 2000. I bought the bike from a coworker without a title (don't worry it has one), he had lost it from the previous owner. No big deal, the lady at our shop filed for one and $150.00 later I got one, original, clean and clear. The bike had 36,6xx miles on it before I started the build now it has a little over 37,000. The bike is pretty fun, decently quick and is a head turner for sure. I want to build another car is the reasoning for me wanting to part.
Some of the parts I have bought for and installed:
4 Inch headlight black housing with chrome ring and high beam indicator
Solo seat
Jet kit to suit the custom exhaust I made and the pod air filters
Z Handlebars
New Brake master cylinder
New front brake pads
New rear brake shoes
New front and rear tires
Trailer fender 42'' (cut it to where I wanted)
DIY fender strut kit
Sidemount license plate assembly
LED plate lights
Fork bag (is cut/modified to hide wiring box so its not an eyesore
New Carquest battery
and many many other things.
It needs a few other small things (fork seals are bad and leak down- $10.00 in parts and about an hours labor) and the carbs still need some tweaking for 1/4 throttle response off idle.

This is the actual picture of this bike before I started building on it.
and here it is now.
