Default 2005 Yamaha R1

Name: Alex
Location: Hampton Roads
Contact: PM here for cell number
Description: Well moddified 2005 R1
Price: $9,500 oboTrades plus cash considered

Well I have here for sale, my third child. Purchased in late 07 mostly stock. Two one year deployments and a good amount of money later this is what she has become. I'd rather not sell her but it's jut not practical for me to have at this point in my life. Also I have some debt I'd like to clear. I would consider trades for a clean car or truck plus cash (preffer mid 80's chevy shortbed or german sedan, I know, world of difference). Anyway, I'm putting her up to see if she generates any interest. If she sells, I'll be out of a ride temporarily but that'll give me time to plan the mods on the next one. She has been laid down one time. Low speed lowside. some superficial scratches but the frame sliders did what they were designed to do. She has 13,000 miles on her. I will include one black ICON Motorhead leather jacket size medium, one red ICON Speedfreak helmet size medium, one Scala Rider Bluetooth helmet headset, front and rear Redline stands and some stock parts. Here is the current list of modifications:

4300k HID kit
B2 Plate mount
Carrozzeria forged aluminum wheels (custom powdercoated)
Cox radiator guard
CRG hindsight folding bar end mirrors
CustomLED integrated brake light
Driven 520 Sprockets (+2 rear)
EK 520 chain
Exup valve removed
Factory Pro Velocity Stacks
Gilles chain adjusters
Gilles Titanium axle nut
GPR V4 stabilizer
Graves Exup servo eliminator
Graves rear brake return spring
Graves Smog block off plates
Greggs Customs bar end adaptors
Hotbodies flush mount turn signals
Pazzo Racing short levers
Power Commander 3 USB
Probolt aluminum alloy bolt replacement kit with D-Ring fasteners
Probolt Titanium caliper bolts
Probolt Titanium fork pinch bolts
Probolt Titanium rotor bolts
Probolt Titanium sprocket nuts
Revolution front rotors
Rizoma sportline grips
Roth industries mirror block offs
Running lights rewired for front turn signals
Sato Racing rear sets
Speedo DRD speedometer correction device
Speigler SS braided brake lines front and rear
Stickercity tinted light protector film front and rear
Techspec gripster pads
Termignoni Carbon fiber cans
Termignoni Y pipe
Vortex bar end sliders
Vortex frame sliders
Vortex spools
Woodcraft case covers
Zero gravity windscreen (I think)

Thanks for looking.

The only inaccuracy in the pictures is that the Brembo calipers are no longer on the bike.

No comments? Is it priced unfairly? I did a little math with all the mods plus the additional items and a stock 05 R1 at $5000 to see what it would cost to build it and came up with about $12,500. There are a few 05 R1's on here that are pretty stock for more than 5000. Bump.

I kinda get that but like I said in the previous post, you can't build it the way it is for 11k unless you find an 05 with only 13k miles for like $3500. I haven't seen one that cheap that wasn't crashed bad.

It's all good. If I don't get a decent cash or trade offer I'll just keep it and maybe part out the aftermarket stuff or streetfighter it out. The second idea has really been growing on me the last few days. Btw, price change.

But you built that bike for the mods that you wanted to suite you.

I am in NO way knocking your bike and it is a very nice bike and I would love to own it myself. Unfortunately I have done the same thing many times with modding stuff and getting nothing back for it. It sucks very much but that's the way it is. I wish you the best with your sale
