2005 GSXR1000 trackbike
Name: Michael
Location: Chester, VA
Means of Contact: PM is best, then we can go from there
Description:
Just bought the bike back in Feb. 2009. I originally planned to do track days this season with the bike. I took it out to VIR North this past weekend and decided I really want to get back on a 600 or 750, its just more my style. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the bike.
It currently has just barely above 4,000 miles. I have some lengthy emails on the bike's history from the previous owner. Before taking the bike out to VIR, I had the forks and shock resprung and serviced by Thermosman/Ohlins USA. They also replaced a worn bushing on the rear Ohlins shock (have invoice). Also, the bodywork was just redone by me and my dad, along with brand new decals.
Mods:
-20mil kit in forks by Thermosman/Ohlins USA
-Ohlins 46PRXL Shock (forks and shock JUST serviced by them last month. Have maybe 10-15 laps at VIR)
-Vortex rearsets
-Vortex clipons
-Micron full exhaust
-Power commander 3(customer tune done by previous owner, have cord).
-Hotbodies bodywork that was just redone
-Vesrah pads
-Galfer steel brake lines
-Ohlins stock mount steering dampener
-Hotbodies double bubble (brand new before VIR)
-Stompgrip on the tank'
- '-1' front sprocket (stock 530 chain, 42t rear sprocket)
-Fully wired to pass WERA tech (previous owner (older gentelman) ran a few senior superbike races with them)
Spares:
-Stock clip-ons
-Stock Rear sets
-Stock header with a Yosh TRS slip on
-Stock windscreen
I had the frame recall done by the previous owner incase there were any problems. There was nothing wrong and the shop installed the brace.
Like I said, the bike rides and runs awesome, I just want something I can thrash around a little more in the corners.
Price:
I am asking [STRIKE]$6200[/STRIKE] $5800 WITHOUT THE SPARES for the bike, or would LOVE to trade for a 2006 or newer GSXR600 or 750 track bike, or bike with decent aftermarket mods. Please, no trades for cars or older motorcycles. I have a clean/clear title in hand.
