it is a 1986 Golf GL. 4 door, 5 spd, 1.8 8 valve. it say 189xxx on the odometer but supposedly the odometer stopped a while ago. the paint is shiny everywhere except for the hood and roof(paint is faded there). there are few dents, biggest one in the back in the panel under that tailights. car has a new radiator, battery, 1 or 2 new hoses, and some new shifter bushings. the car runs great after it runs for about a minute and gets warm. shift great and runs like a champ. the A/C DOESNT work on it. it needs a compressor and that is it. i jumped it out and it making all kinds or noise so yeah. i have the freon and the conversion fittings to change it to R134 freon. the inspection is out by a month and it needs new exhaust put on it. i cut the exhaust after the cat cause the old exhaust was trashed and did that to get it out of the way. the tires are like new and the interior is in great shape for the age. very clean. there is some rust under where the battery sits but a new pieve of metal can be put in there and just riveted on there. anyway taht is pretty much all i can tell you about it. brakes are good and it has a half a tank of gas in it. currently it resides in the southside. i still have the core support(part with the headlights) out of it cause doing the radiator install it had to come out obviously and i was checking over the A/C and it is easier without that in it. CLEAN TITLE for the car. another $200-300 in the car and it would be a good daily driver. i have a new timing belt and few other hoses that will come with the car also. fresh air filter already installed and i have the stuff for a fresh oil change also.
