I have a 01 jetta tdi that has about 237k miles, and I have done a lot of preventative, and otherwise high mileage, maintenance to in the last year. It has been an awesome/ fun car for me and has made my love for German autos grow tremendously. I bought it last May (2013) with around 215k miles on it, as it already had proper maintenance done for the mileage; and I knew that it being a diesel it would run for another 200k. Over the year-and-a-half that ive had it, ive had to replace and repair a few things that are time and mileage sensitive, and they were all replaced with genuine German parts. Heres a list of the maintenance/repairs ive done thus far (not limited to, im sure im forgetting some stuff):
-transmission (OEM German unit, imported from the Netherlands)
-alternator (oem BOSCH replacement)
-new steel bottom oil pan (original aluminum pan was cracked and sealed with JB weld)
-passenger side engine mount (OEM; original had stripped out, common problem)
-head studs (the original "stretch bolts"...stretched lol)
-new turbo (brand new OEM Garrett unit)
-new accessory belt
-cleaned out intake manifold (the EGR system clogs them up)
The above repairs have kept this car running/driving the way it should, while the aftermarket mods make it way more fun to drive. The previous owner did a lot of the visual/exterior modifications, while I have done the majority of the interior and engine work. Some of the stuff needed replacing so I took the opportunity to upgrade them. Heres a list of the modifications (that I can think of) done:
-ARP head studs (when the stock bolts went, I put in much stronger ARP studs)
-VNT-17 turbo (when the stock VNT-15 let go I went for the bigger VNT17)
-stage 1 clutch (the stock clutch was slipping so I went stage 1)
-KERMATDI "stage 2" tune (comes with a handheld tuner to change between tunes)
-upgraded injector nozzles (previous owner installed)
-EGR system delete
-2" straight pipe exhaust
-steering column mounting boost gauge (NewSouth performance)
-full coilovers
-17x9 Drag DR31's (previous owner bought; soon to have new tires)
-solid dog-bone engine mount
-new clear headlights (originals were quite cloudy)
-its painted OD green with a flat lacquer paint (the sun has really taken a toll on it so its not the best looking anymore, but the body itself is straight and damage free)
-B5 S4 steering wheel (have original wheel as well)
-larger drilled and slotted rotors
I know im forgetting some things so if you have any questions shoot me a text or give me a call.

Dylan! Long time no see dude... Hope all is well.
This car is great! I've had enough VW's to last a lifetime, but gave some serious thought to a TDI! GLWS!
