right above the picture i included a gallery with a few more pics. And yes i went through insurance so it will have something on its car fax, but the adjuster never said anything about it being salvage. Your all welcome to run a carfax vin# WBABN53411JU22714 . I still have the title and it is listed as clear, but don't know how the process works. Regardless, if your replacing the engine, your already going to scare away potential buyers... this is meant more for someone looking to fix it up and drive it

carfax takes months to actually show up...im sure it will have a salvage history...

car-part.com has motors from 2000-3500 in va...so after paying someone to do the swap...you would have between 7-8k in it...with salvage/flood history...

with that price a buyer could go buy one with no salvage/flood history...

"In general, a vehicle is deemed "salvage" when the insurer determines that the repair or replacement cost is in excess of approximately 75% of its market value at the time of the accident or theft"

This was NOT the case. I'll check into it with the adjuster but I'm pretty sure they would have told me that it was going to have a salvage title.

So they paid you to replace the motor? Or totaled the car and you bought it back from them?

how u come out with that number $4250? plus 3K + for motor and labor let's say 8K total, hmmm is not worth it, and flood history and maybe salvage tittle(does not matter if the repairs are 75% of the cars value. when a car is flooded 99% of times is salvage)
review my offer on ur pm's.

They gave me a check to replace the motor. They did not total it hence the reason why i don't believe its salvage.

When I got my dealer's license, this was terminology I had to learn and what you posted is exactly what I remember. I do not believe this car would be considered salvage.
