1993 Volvo 240 Slicktop Wagon 5 speed non turbo w/goodies
Name: 2F4R
Location: Newport News
Means of contact: PM here
Price: $2500/trades
Description: 1993 5 door 240. Non-turbo red block, m47 5 speed transmission. Bought this to tinker with and have slowly been repairing/improving things. Mechanically sound. 300 on the clock. Slicktop wagon, dark greenish/blue exterior with blue/black interior.
Bad first:
some rust
rear bumper either needs a new mount or a roll pan. Drove over a leaf spring on the road and it popped up and broke off the driver's side bumper mount
Needs exhaust pipe from the muffler back
No reverse lockout
Rear wiper doesn't work
paint clear coat doing that thing that old clearcoat does
Things I have done to the car:
new waterpump/thermostat
new battery
new fuel pump
new fuel filter
replaced all shifter linkage bushings
new (reman) bosch injectors
turbo wheels
new distributor rotor/cap/wires
new oil press switch
new silverstar ultras up front
new k&n drop in
Sparco wheel/Momo adapter
Sparco seats
H/O alternator
New front corner lenses
Comes with extra goodies if you wanna build or drift her. I've got a V8 world class t5 that will go with it. I bought it on CL intending to build it, so I don't know anything about the internals...haven't had it apart.
I've deleted the A/C on the car, and this was done with the proper A/C delete kit.
Has the volvo "A" cam installed. Comes with an RSI aftermarket N/A cam BNIB.
Rear end is currently unlocked and ready to weld for drift. Comes with a lightly used Eaton G80 if you want to lock it up.
Comes with various other parts...3 gauge turbo pod, radio relocation trim, cam seal retainer, other things like a volvo non airbag wheel out of a '76, chilton/haynes manual etc...whatever I can dig up volvo goes with the car.
I also have a volvo turbo that will go with the car. Used, 13c. Good condition with no slop, but should be rebuilt nonetheless.
Have an e-fan for it and some of the bits for that conversion as well.
I can't speak to the maintenance before I owned the car, but I've been religiously changing the oil with Mobil 1 synthetic every 5k miles. It's a fun car and I'd love to keep and build the shit out of it, but I'm not at a place where I need it. My grandfather passed away and I have his old car and I don't need both. I'm more attached to his car at this point.
I am willing to trade for a Ford van/box truck/short bus/etc with the 7.3 or old manx/baja/stock beetle only.
That's all I can think of right now. Blast me a PM here with yo' digits and we can move this convo forward IRL. More pics available upon request.

Found a van, so no longer looking for that on trade. I'd like to sell this before needing to re-up ins/reg. Price is OBO. PM me offers. Thanks again for looking.

I already have most of everything needed. Just really need a driveshaft. I know yoshifab sells the ds adapter but I don't know if I want to go that route or not.
I'm not really sure what I want to do. Probably go the custom route. Unless I come across a mustang one at a reasonable price before I start doing the swap.
Yeah...used mustang + adapter and you're over halfway to custom any way. I'm sure any local driveshaft shop could build it, but Denny's (NY) was great as well.
