1987 Jetta coupe Wolfsburg Ed., low miles, lightly modded (NoVA)
Contact: Tommy
Phone#: 301-751-6993
Location: Arlington, VA 22201
Car Details:
*1987 Jetta coupe Wolfsburg Ed. "Pirelli"
*Built in Germany
*117k miles on the cluster, 100k on chassis/motor (cluster was replaced in March 2008 @ 86k with a 103k cluster, so the actual mileage is 17k miles less)
*1 minor front fender bender reported on the carfax from years ago; all the panels line up perfect and no hidden damages have been found to date
*Clean MD title in hand
Engine:
-1.8 8v engine
-5spd trans
-New water-pump, thermostat and coolant flush
-New timing belt and accessories belt
-New battery
-New axles
-New spark plugs
-New trans fluid
-New clutch cable
-Has power steering with new fluid
-Custom 2.25" exhaust; no cat, but has resonator and muffler
-K&N drop in filter
Suspension/Brakes:
-Raceland coilovers (none are blown and they all spin freely)
-New front rotors and pads
-New brake fluid flush
Wheels/Tires:
-14x6" Borbets
-205/55/14 tires with ~50% tread
Exterior:
-Plastidipped anthracite grey; originally Tornado Red then rattle canned black by PO
-Euro black/red tail lights with new bulb sockets
-Black banana lights
-Badgeless 3-slat front grill
-Small euro rock gauges/quarter flares
-Rolled fenders
-Shaved rear emblems
-Trunk spoiler
Interior:
-OEM grey velour Recaro seats; front and rear (fronts are 9/10 condition)
-OEM black door cards, carpet, A, B, C pillars, sun visors and headliner (full interior swap)
-Factory power mirrors
-Manual windows and door locks
-CD player with AUX and 4 speakers
-Golf ball shift knob
-Accordion shift boot
-New trunk seal
Issues/Flaws:
-Has gauge cluster light out, have spares just need to pull it back out to replace
-Slight exhaust rattle every once in a while
-Paint issues underneath that will need addressed at some point (if you choose to remove the plastidip)
-Bumpers are marked up here and there from commuter parking
-The A/C went out about 2 months after I bought it, pretty sure it was low already so it probably just needs a recharge
-Hood has 2 dents in it, but the rest of the body is VERY clean and dent free
-Dash does have a crack in it, thanks to the cold temps this past month
I am sure I have forgotten some things that have been replaced/upgraded. I have an Excel sheet and a folder or receipts/invoices for everything that I have done to the car since I purchased it earlier this year. This car is my daily driver, and it gets driven 5-6 days a week without any issues. I bought the car originally with 104k miles on it and have had no real issues so far; it has never left me stranded
Price(s):
$4,000.00 as is with the Schmidts, Borbet wheels and Recaro interior
$3,000.00 with Borbet wheels and Recaro interior
$2,700.00 with Borbet wheels, bring your own seats
These prices are firm, so no I will not accept anything less for it. Don't bother posting up an offer less than what is listed, you are only wasting your time. NO TRADES. If you have a serious question or want to come see the car in person, please CALL me.
Photos:
(Before plastidip)
(During plastidip process)
(After plastidip)
Will get current photos with Borbets, interior and engine shots.
