I thought I recognized this car. You were the one on RX7club that sent the car to NJ to get built. Interested buyers may want to know about the build:

Looks like there was some discussion about that subframe looking unsafe:

Are those fluxcore? and why was the tubing welded in the middle?

thanks bro, you're cool.

the car was tacked together using fluxcore..then welded with gas (this can cause it to look flux).. there is 100% penetration..just the wire speed was way too high. (build up of material)..it was a "prototype" subframe (hint not being pefect.) the part in the middle was where an extension was done. yes i know thats not "cool" but in that area there is 1 inch solid of chromoly steel there... subframe can be taken out in one hour if new owner wishes to reweld. i personally have absolutly no worries about it.

for me accepting less than $20k for this car. and knowing what it cost to build it. i think a few welds dont hinder the sale.

if you have any negative comments to make.. PM me. or better yet, my phone number is up top, you can call me. but honestly if you don't have $20,000 cash laying around, you are wasting your time viewing my thread.

Thank you.

I'm not making negative comments at all. I'm just merely letting any potential buyers be completely informed before spending a large amount of money on something. If you are embarrassed or worried about showing parts of the car, that does not say much about your confidence of its quality.

As for the welding, that much spatter would not come from having the wire speed too high on a gas shielded mig. It looks exactly like flux-core, and I would bet that's what it is. That front cross-member should have been 1 piece regardless. I am not going to add any more to this thread after this; I just thought anyone seriously considering purchasing the car would like to see the build thread.

thank you for your worries. I would NOT drive this car if i did not have faith in it. Im making a 600 miles trip with it in 3 weeks. That WILL prove the cars build. if buyers want to wait to see what happens, thats cool. Im not embarrassed nor dishonest. If i felt the frame would put someones life in danger, i would state that. i have positive feedback on every forum i belong too. and i keep in touch with everyone i've sold a car too in the last 2 years. EVERY CAR is still running and doing well.

again, if someone wants to buy the car and modify the subframe (reweld or whatever) i'll drop $500 if its the only thing keeping you from buying it.

Thanks for the comments and concern, still accepting reasonable offers.
