96 Nissan 200sx SE-R - 5spd - $1,000 - NOVA
1.Name - Caleb
2.Location - Springfield/Burke
3.Means of Contact - post here/pm/571.two36.701four/mtajae@yahoo.com
4.Prices - $1,000
OR TRADE (good reliable DD, prefer auto, 4 door, 97+, can put cash on top)
4.Description -
I just recently bought an SE-R with 164k miles intended to fix few parts to drive it as a daily, but because I don't have access to a garage anymore (and being so cold outside) I can't do what I planned on doing. So I have to sell it
GOOD:
The car is completely stock everything properly working (sunroof, pw, apline hu, speakers, heat, a/c, all lights, etc.). Interior is in 8.5/10 condition. Car starts every time and state inspection was done in September. No major dents or crazy paint fade 7/10. The car does not have rust and does have many parts replaced in the past few years = front windshield, EGR, both window regulators, front brake pads, induction cleaning, and tint.
BAD:
It needs a clutch replaced, the car is still drivable and I've been driving it around but if you accerlerate hard, the clutch will slip. It will need tires as the alignment was bad from the previous owner, so the tires has good tread but has cups on the edges. The rear section plactic piece between the tail lights is lose so it is currently taped up so I can get lights to my license plate (easy fix, junkyard or zip tie). The rear bumper is a little off on the passenger edge (easy fix, zip tie to keep it aligned perfectly).
have paper work from 2 previous owners and title in hand ready to go.
Thanks!

I understand the clutch is shot, but how is the transmission? Did it shift well? No 5th gear popout? LSD work?

Trans is fine I believe.. i drove it around yesterday being gentle on the clutch/shifts/accerleration.
I heard about the 5th gear issue and i can't tell because of the clutch. When I'm in 5th gear on the highway, it doesn't pop out while I'm driving so I guess not? It's easy to shift into all the gears but needs gentel engagements because of the clutch so I'm not too sure about 5th gear "issue".
LSD works I believe as well, previous owner had it actually checked out by a mechanic before selling it to me (I also asked if the LSD was working)... but once again, with the clutch being in poor shape all I could do was trust the mechanic he has been going to for 3 years.
