91 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo FWD

Name: Shawn
Location: Front Royal, VA
Means of contact: 540-692-2339 or ravensfan314@gmail.com
Price: $1000 or trade

Description: Going to start by saying, this is not a turn key drive away car. The transmission computer has gone into limp mode and will need to be replaced due to a capacitor near exploding, and the ABS module has a leak that will need to be addressed (either deleted or replaced). That being said, the body has 188k, the engine and transmission have 100k. Car is an automatic, front wheel drive. Turbo, stainless steel valves, rod main bearings, piston rings, timing belt, tensioner, water pump all have less than 20k miles on them. Brand new battery, battery terminals, and hatch struts. Fresh oil change and transmission fluid. Pioneer head unit with CD player. Has wheels from a 05 Hyundai Tiburon. Red grill from a eagle talon. Hood's paint looks like hell and has a wrinkle on it, but have a red hood in good shape to put on it. Other cons, include about a 10 inch crack on passenger side of windshield, a bunch of dings on rear passenger quarter panel, and stripped headliner, but hey, it's a 22 year old project car for cheap. Would like to sell for 1,000 dollars (CASH ONLY) or trade for a daily drivable vehicle, like a Honda or other 4 cylinder preferably, but I'll entertain all trades. No need to rush this sale because I have WRX I currently drive daily. Just don't want anything to do with DSM anymore, and I'd like to my get my gf in something that isn't a truck that gets 15mpg. I don't expect trade offers to be pretty, as long as they run, drive, pass inspection, and don't have any frame damage, I'll consider it.

Bump, don't need a pretty car as a trade, just something I can slap tags on and drive.

If it had a MT it wouldn't have this problem and I'd keep it! Lol, thanks though

What's wrong with auto for performance? Guy in Fredericksburg is running 10's on an auto and prefers it. Me, I just want to get one as a daily beater and get 35 mpg+ on the highway and lean the crap out of it off boost. The Laser has such a low .cd that you can do crazy stuff for performance and MPG...it is something like .29. FWD is ideal for this too. Some guy modded his auto AWD on one of the gas mileage forums and is getting like 35 mpg. My whole thing is...why should I have to drive my modded for gas mileage 93 Escort GT to get 35 mpg (if I am lucky) when I can do it in a hot 1g FWD Laser.
