2003 Toyota Matrix XRS 6spd
Name: Elric
Location: Va Beach
Contact: PM, Post
Price: $8500obo
Trades: Would like a Truck w/ extended cab. Make offers. Must have a/c and p/s.
I am thinking about possibly selling my '03 Matrix XRS. The car just turned 76k on the odometer. All of the maintenance is up to date (I'm a Toyota Technician) including:
Oil changes (Mobile 1)
Transmission fluid change (Royal Purple)
Serpentine Belt
Front rotors
Front pads
Rear rotors
Coolant flush
Tires are barely a year old and show hardly any wear (Michelin)
Windshield replaced last week
Inspection 9/11
I've been daily driving this car for the last 4 months and it has simply been a great car. I also record 32+mpg @ 70mph on the interstate when running premium (91+ octane). It's about 28mpg-ish city. Transmission doesn't grind in any gear at any rpm. Engine is very quiet and smooth, there's been quite a few times that I thought it didn't start but after checking the tach the engine is indeed idling.
This is the 180hp 6spd version of the car (Celica GT-S drivetrain). The only mod I have done to the car was replaced the intake w/ a short ram (OBX-R). The previous owner broke the vacuum nipple on the original air box and this caused it to have a lean condition because of unmeasured air coming into the intake. No CEL now.
Only reason I'm even considering selling this awesome car is that it's a manual. The wife and I use this for long distance driving and the car very seldom sees anything above 4000rpm. I'd like to trade for a Matrix XR Auto + cash if I could but I don't see that happening.
Pictures: *I'll get some more pictures but the wife's RSX was just too close to get a decent angle*

Re: 2004 Toyota Matrix XRS 6spd
Thanks man. I love the car and have no problem keeping it. This is just to let people on the forum know that if they're interested in one there's one available. The XRS models are pretty hard to come by. I saw one on CL going for $6k so I went to check it out, that thing runs rough (lots of valve train noise) and the transmission grinds pretty bad going into 2nd.
