as far as the transmission should be very simple to fix once it's been taken off the car, it's a bearing that isn't seated right and when the motor starts on a cold day, it seats correctly, the grind lasts for a second, sometimes it doesnt go on at all.

car sat on the side of my house for a year because i didn't drive it (i was out of the country on vacation), so i had the whole thing covered up. i took that meanwhile i was taking off all the wrapping i had put on it, thats why it looks clean in that pic after 1yr of sitting outside .
