2001 Subaru Impreza RS Coupe
Name: Will Allen
Location: Charles Town, WV
Means of contact: 3048861169, prefer text
Price: $5000 obo
Description: 2001 2.5RS Coupe, 5 speed manual, 69k.
Looking to sell, because I want something a little more comfortable, and less hardcore, and the payments are too much for me, plus I’d like a car I can work on myself. I work 30 hours a week at Taco Bell, and go to 20 credit hours of school… at seventeen.
On the lookout for a NA miata, Porsche 944, or a 3 series.
It has 69 thousand original miles on it.
The good:
Mileage is original and probably 95% highway, I got the car a few months ago, with 65K on it, previous owner (Porsche Mechanic) drove it 95 miles to and from work every weekday, and I’ve been driving it around 20 miles each way to school every day, and it’s all highway. Never abused, really. I’ve done a few snow-nuts, but that’s what these cars are built for.
Previous owner changed the Timing belt and water pump at 60K.
I just changed the oil with full synthetic at 68K.
I got not brakes put on the car when I got it, at 65k.
Car is lowered a tad on A’Pexi Coilovers.
Car has an AEM Cold Air intake.
Car has Stromung dual tip exhaust.
The car has a full audio system, the previous owner went real hard… Big subwoofer, headunit and two aftermarket speaker, I can get specs if anyone needs it…
The bad:
The car is missing the entire center dash gauge assembly thing. Just a big hole there.
The car has a salvage title. Now, I know this can be a deal-breaker for most, and I didn’t even know this when I bought the car. But it doesn’t even come up on CarFax, but my insurance company insists it has a salvage title, and would only insure it for liability. I had no problem getting liability insurance, and neither did, apparently, the previous owner. Previous owner told me the car the car had been in a minor front end collision, hence the L Bumper (mentioned later on) and that’s all I can tell that may have caused it. Frame is straight. Everything runs fine.
I HATE wings. So I traded trunks with a friend (mysuby) who had an L trunk and now it shuts funky. You can only open it with the key from the back, and you have to slam the hell out of it to get it to shut. But it shuts solid and won’t fly open. I’m told all I have to do to fix this is to move the latch up a bit… but I don’t have much time, or know-how on my hands…
The Ugly:
Well, my paint job is bad. It was SRP when I got it, and the trunk I got was blue. I saw the whole “50$ paint job” thing on youtube and decided to try it out. It’s been said that my car looks clean in the dark, or from 10 feet away… It’s rustoleum high performance, high gloss white. It looks like poopie. But at least you won’t be worried about scratching it.
The Debatable:
The car is wingless, which, to me, looks sexy as anything.
It has an L front bumper on it, with custom fog lights, one bulb is blown and I don’t know how to replace it. The little lights below the headlights got paint on them, but I have two replacements.
It has WRX wheels, that are in slightly iffy shape, and the tires have white paint on them. :x
I also have a set of four Tenzo RS5 wheels. They’re 17”s in white. Three are in decent shape. One of them is screwed up and not usable. Bought it like that. All four have excellent low profile tires on them, and the one that’s messed up has not harmed the tire at all.
The damn awesome:
I have 4300 left to pay off. So I’ll start my price right above there. 5000 dollars for a 2001 RS2.5 in rugged white with 71k original on it. No trades, cause well, I gotta pay it off.
I’ll drive anywhere within 200 miles to deliver. I’ll go up to 500 for the right price.
